Cristina Martín Lara
Cristina Martín Lara (born 1972) is a Spanish photographer who lives and works in Berlin. Her works seek to trigger emotional responses to the environment in which we live. Using photography and video installation, Cristina creates visual resources to provoke reflections, discoveries, emotions, in which the viewer recognizes her own personal experiences. The artist draws an invisible barrier between her own work and the beholder, turning her works in a visual equivalent of concepts and ideas, as the unfathomable, the familiar, the dangerous, the fun ... concepts on which rotate her work. Death, life, loneliness, encounter ... all the feelings that we have been exposed at some time in our lives, will be the raw material for their creations.
