Criticism, reflection and questioning, are some of the constant elements in the work of Jaime de la Jara (Madrid, 1972), a young artist from Madrid that from photographs, installations and videos, rethinks many aspects of our personal and cultural identity. He plays with the ambiguity and the confusion of the viewer, making him doubt whether there is anything real in what he sees, establishing a blurred between reality and fiction line. He modifies the original meanings of the elements found in everyday life, decontextualizing to create a dialogue between them from generating a new flow of meanings

This aims to criticize a series of values that we inherited and we assume without questioning them. In other lines of thought he tries to involve the viewer in a search memory exercise. The work of Jaime de la Jara has been exhibited in national centers such as the Patio Herreriano, the MANCARS (Madrid), the Botanical Garden of Madrid, the Casa Encendida (Madrid) or the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo
