The artistic research by Manuel Saro starts from the union in the same image of panting and photography. The artist, in the first phase of his work photographs small models in metal and wood, designed and created on purpose, representing an imaginary space. Then he intervenes on these representations by using acrylic painting in order to conveying drama to the photographic image giving it a new dimension. So we find ourselves in front of a new space, half reality and half fiction, full of mystery and enigmatic, provoking an estrangement between the ‘real’ photographed space and the ‘mental’ one painted.

Manuel Saro exhibited his works in numerous public and private locations. Main group exhibitions: 2007 ARCO (Madrid), 2005 Generaciòn 2005, La Casa Encendida (Madrid), 2003 Galerìa La Nave (Valencia). His works are exhibited in many collections such as the Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporàneo (Madrid)..
