The work of Matxinbarrena, has a tendency to geometry, line and monochrome, denoting a recurring willingness to discuss the form as a concept. Through it, the artist builds the content of his works, in a long process that goes through various stages and contexts, to push the boundaries of this creative language. In parallel, he is interested in memory and the past, approaching certain scenarios loaded with content and experiences, focusing on a more determined spatial dimension, playing with the tension between different elements of architecture, sculpture and painting, in new patterns of coexistence between these artistic expressions.
