He was born in Lalin (Pontevedra) 1954. There are few careers with more anarchic beginnings and yet suddenly so dazzling as this great artist with little academic learning and bohemian character, who began with occasional, hard work, in Madrid and Catalonia, to impose his personal conception of painting. a more thoughtful and serene painting, completely informalist, in which dominate large black spaces and a geometric structure. His whimsical titles, ironically, insinuate impossible references. A nonexistent object, is installed in a neutral space, and allows the viewer an imaginary dialogue of various suggestions. Previously, as an intermediate, there has been a step in which Tápies was present, with his flaking walls eroded by time and occasional thousand incisions. A very difficult and strange painting and yet fascinating, because who has done it has talent and an inexhaustible inventiveness.
