The private investment initiative Ars Fundum was founded in 2005 as a completely new concept that promotes Spanish and Portuguese artists and offers them a singular saving strategy very beneficial for their personal and professional development. Under the slogan "Your art, your future" Ars Fundum allows the artist to create his own Saving Plan by providing his own work to the collection Ars Fundum where it will remain for the next years for its promotion and following sale. The main objective of Ars Fundum is promotion. For this purpose Ars Fundum participates in international art fairs and events and develops all kinds of exhibition projects and also coordination, acquisition and cooperation with institutions, museums and other spaces interested in promoting contemporary art. A good example of this collaboration is the project undertaken with Paradores of Spain, which started in 2012 with the opening of the new Parador of Lorca and continued by the following: Parador of Cádiz, coinciding with its reopening and the XXII Ibero-American Summit Heads of State and Government; Parador of Alcalá de Henares, exhibition included in the program ARCO'13 collectors; Parador of Cuenca, with works by Juan Manuel Castro Prieto and Javier Pagola; Parador of Corias, with a site specific intervention by Rui Macedo, inaugurated in 2013 by her Majesty Queen Sofia; or the last show at the Parador de Siguenza, with works by Marina Núñez, Judas Arrieta and José Manuel Ciria, among others. In the coming years, part of the collection of Ars Fundum will continue travelling and exhibiting in relevant places within the network of Paradores. With the occasion of ARCO '15 Ars Fundum offers a breakfast and a guided tour included in the Collectors Program of Arco Art Fair at the offices of Portobello Capital (Almagro, 36) on February 28, at 10:00 h, where will be exhibited 50 works from the collection. Currently the collection of Ars Fundum is formed by a group of about 80 artists active in different art disciplines (painting, sculpture, photography and video) with a high level of recognition and international projection.
